I forgot to upload sketches made as well over the sick break. xD
It's a lot, that's for sure! Some highlights-
-Gumshoe wanted to have the profession of being a wizard as a child.
- Edgeworth as a kid, 20's, and jokingly next gen look. (GLASSES?)
-The talk between Nick and Mia after "losing" Dahlia Hawthorne.
-The boys becoming friends after the class trial, and then skipping to how their nicknames came about and why Larry is just Larry. xD They could've said it, but they didn't.
-Phoenix talking with "Dollie" after reading the paper and hearing familiar names with text to boot.
-An honestly mean joke about Miles' mom.
-Ah, how childhood changes.
-A wonderful reunion of father and son.
-The WHHOOOOOP scene. Aka New Years booze time.
-A comic that sums up when you type "Phoenix Wright" in Deviantart in a nutshell. Also done in bed before going to asleep and blatantly ripping off a Sonic flash joke on Newgrounds. It's pretty accurate. Poor Nick and Edgey, but Larry's soaking it all up to remember. xD

Anyways, if you've ever wondered what my sketches for comic strips look like, it's exactly this, just replace the characters with SMRPG characters and that, my friends, is what wonderful organization I have. Somehow if you can magically read all of the text that's thrown in ways only I can comprehend, you'll find some nice stuff! xD
But at least drawing this stuff made me better at anime hair, because that was my bane as a kid!
Anyhoo, if you want good experience drawing faces, draw the whole AA cast!

And I believe I'll probably scrap this later, but considering no one ever looks there, I thought I might as well shanghai people into looking at it before I do so, haha!

This is probably one of my favorite games, but I've only played the first one, none of the other Phoenix Wright games. It's on my list of games to play. orz
Your handwriting is surprisingly similar to mine when I'm sketching, so I can read most of this (sometimes I can't read my own handwriting though hehe) I like the ones where they're drunk!
I'm guessing they found the Phoenix/Edgeworth fanart. That would explain why Nick and Miles are freaked out, and why Larry's laughing his butt off. xD

It's something that I've always found myself going back to time and time again, ever since I first started with the games in 2007, and I've gained a good appreciation for all the story and character they've stuffed into the games, but yeah, the first one is pretty darn good, and right now I'm playing the Miles Edgeworth game (Last case to boot!) and though it's different from the regular Attorney with the sight lack of court and new walking abilities, but it's still pretty good and lengthy, compared to how I replayed PW1 and beat 4 cases in 1 day (nerdnerdnerd) I've been playing this one since Monday, and I've racked up to about 35 hours playing everything really smoothly, so it must be long!
Yeah, I don't have the best handwriting, and usually with dialogue I write a thumbnail idea down if I can't come up with how to phrase something, so that I may come up with something better when typing it in Photoshop, but here it's really just chicken scratch. xD The three stooges!
Yep, a blatant rip off of a Sonic/Shadow flash I've seen, but it really speaks the truth here as well! The funny thing is, I appreciate all shippings, but there is a point where some take it to be absolutely canon in their mind in the sense that the creators deemed it so, and I do get a little annoyed by that after a while. It's strange though, though I don't really have any interest in yuri, I like the fact that it's usually so much more simple compared to the overly complex passion stories yaoi pictures generally have, so I guess it just goes to show that I like my slash simple and crack, it seems. xD
Either way, playing the games I never really got a sense of any such relationship between the two, rather them being more so like bros (And I get the feeling that's what the creators intended for as well in this case) but I can understand why some people might see it the other way, but hey, everyone's got a right to their own opinion.
All I can say here though is they're a bit freaked out by the computer screen, heheheh...

Wow, one day, I think it literally took me two or three days to beat Phoenix Wright, and I was playing it non-stop! I played the DS version though, which had a fifth case, and that one was really long, and it was hard. It's funny, the first day I brought the game home and played it, my older brother asked me if I was playing that game about lawyers, because all he could hear was "OBJECTION!" He never played it, but he was very familiar with PW. The characters and story are really good, and there's so much humor too, it's great, like when Wendy Oldbag was hitting on Edgeworth, haha. I really do have to play the others though, I want to.

I have to agree with you on the Phoenix/Edgeworth pairing, or just any pairing, in general. That's why I usually read adult fics, they get straight to the point. The stories don't focus only on the pairing's romance, or passion for eachother, like nothing else in the world matters, and as if they're the only characters who exists in the world.
I like stories with humor, friendship, rivalry, and themes other than pure romance (bromance, or the female equivalent of that, is great though!).
I don't like stories where the characters are already a couple, they love eachother, and nothing else matters to the shippers, but their romance, because then the story is just boring, and it takes the fun out of my imagination, because even though I really like shipping characters, I don't ever want them to actually be together. I prefer it to just be a fling, a phase, a very close friendship, a one-night-stand, or something of that nature. Once characters are in a romantic relationship, everything seems ooc to me, I don't know why, maybe it's because all the other important characters, character development, love interests, and story elements will be forgotten about, and it's like, what now? Because, yeah, relationships are usually quite simple, people don't always have love, romance, or "hey, I'm madly in love with you, let's be a couple" on their minds. Sometimes the unexpected happens, and people are just, "I don't know what came over me that night, but let's just forget about it, I like you as a friend".

I find that most shippers who try to justify their ship as being absolutely canon, are the ones who attack others for liking a ship. People should stop acting like they're the creators of the series, and accept that they're a fan like everyone else, and accept all ships. I just want to tell everyone, " It's all right if your ship is non-canon, or if it's your headcanon, but don't try to tell every it's canon, no matter how much proof there is. And especially don't insult someone's pairing they like." I find all fandoms have their own problems, and it's usually about shipping characters.

I like to think of Miles and Nick as always being friends, but the kind of friends who get along, but not really, because they're rivals too. I like how, in the first game, Edgeworth is like, "all right Phoenix you saved me, we're cool, but I'm still going to insult you in the courtroom, and make you feel stupid". I seriously can't imagine those two in a passionate romance, without them bickering, or mocking eachother. They're too funny together to be seen as a serious couple.

Well, that was just recently, so I knew what to do really quickly. xD yeah, Case 5 is pretty long, but it's definitely an awesome case! Probably would've taken a day in itself if I tried it in that binge day. xD
They're good! I beat the Edgeworth game recently, and though the beginning case was a bit rocky, the end was totally worth it.

It's weird, because it makes me wonder if the people who write those realize love isn't like that most of the time, that it envelopes everything a person does around another person. The closest I really want to romance in a fic is a crush, because when people try putting the characters into a marriage or relationship together, no one ever really pulls it off right, because they don't realize how love and marriage work. (And at times it's quite amusing to watch!) That's exactly why I don't care for the Mario and Peach pairing, because most fans make it overly serious and romantic, whereas frankly, I don't see it happening unless he really keeps rescuing her WAY in the future. It's just really ooc, so I only want to give implications of ideas of what may happen in the future, so other people can piece it together in their own way. It's a fact that the human mind can make itself believe anything, which is why we have different politics, religions, and shippings. There are many, many gray areas other than romantic relationships, which everyone seems to overlook and see as romance probably out of laziness, which I can see if that person isn't doing anything with the characters to begin with, but I guess with me, writing the characters makes me very anal about writing relationships the correct way...
Yeah, the fandom for the game is great, but the only problem I find is the shippings, because I scroll through so much PXE looking for fanart of the game, and I'd be fine if it were for crack (Like how I like Bowser and Peach) but I always read over comments saying as how they're a legitimate couple, and for the stupidest reasons possible, such as when *spoilers* Phoenix is in the hospital in and out of concious-ness after falling off a 4 story high burning bridge into a river, and Edgeworth quickly charts a flight back home to visit him after Larry calls him about it, thus OBVIOUSLY that means he's in madly love with him. If I were rich, and my best friend who's female like me was probably close to dying in the hospital, I'd chart a jet from Europe to be there as well! It's just called being a friend. xD
Normally I wouldn't care, but there is a point where all out wars are waged between fans because of this stuff, and it's quite annoying (or funny) at times.
Nick and Miles seemed more like a partners in crime, kind of duo, especially in the 2nd game, and Larry just completes it. It really seems that they can't stand to be with any of each other for a long amount of time, haha!

I probably would really enjoy the others. After I beat the first, I spent days reading all about PW, looking at official art, concept art, sprites, fanart, fanfics, and doujinshi. That's what I typically do when I love a game that much. o:

I find that people who are are in love, or obsessed with their ship, are usually kids, or very young adults. They really don't know much about relationships. It's kind of boring seeing fans only care about two characters, there isn't much story or character development with that. Another thing, I don't like is how people see all shipping as having to make sense. Loving, or hooking up with someone never really makes sense. Or I don't like how they act like ships are all about love, and that every fan must treat it that way. Shipping comes from "relationship" and relationships can be about hatred, friendship, sexual tension, or anything. They can be platonic, mutual, or completely dysfunctional. Fans can make subtle implications of it, use it for comedic purposes, or as a quick fanservice fix. I don't like seeing people being treated like bad guys for simply liking a ship, or joking about it. It's like, look dude, they're not an insane fan trying to shove their ship into everyone's face, and make it canon, you don't need to know why they ship something, just let them have fun.

I don't care for MxP as much as I used to. I would still adore them, but the way fans treat others for daring to ship Mario, and Peach with someone else, really bothers me. I enjoy the art of them, it takes less than a minute to appreciate a pretty picture, but I couldn't take time to read a fanfic, no way. For some reason, I can only read fics about crack pairings.

So far, Peach and Mario seem they are meant for each other, but they may never actually get together. Peach could be replaced, just like Pauline was. Quite a few series, or franchises do that, where the love interest of the main character, gets replaced by another, all of a sudden. I don't think Nintendo would have Mario still spend a lot of time with Pauline (in Mario vs. Donkey Kong) if he was dating Peach! That's something a single man would do, not one who's in a relationship.

It is upsetting when a fan says "they're a legitimate couple," about any characters, who aren't in that kind of relationship. Fans need to stop forcing things to be canon, because that's how wars start. Phoenix and Edgeworth are single, not together. I can see why the pairing annoys you, I looked it up, and all I get is bad art (there are some good PxE pics, that I like though), and the fan comments are basically "omg they are so gay!!!" When the fans say a character is gay, it makes it seem like they're trying to minimize the competition, so that shippers won't pair them up with female characters, and I don't like that. Their are so many other characters Phoenix could be shipped with, besides Edgeworth.

Shipping wars in fandoms are annoying. I know when I become a fan of something, I'm afraid of entering a fandom, because I don't know how the fans are, or whether of not they'll accept me.

Yeah, after replayed the first game and beat Edgeworth's game recently, I went on a binge looking at all the concept art, and it was pretty awesome how much they put into the series regarding the universe and all that. It's so addicting!
Opposites attract is kind of how I always felt, and I've seen many times in life where friends of mine have gone with guys polar opposite of them, or even switch boyfriends after things don't work out, so it's not about love for sure. Yeah, bashing someones' ship is basically like bashing their religion or philosophy, because they're pretty much bashing the person themselves, since it's something that is one's personal opinion- (And believe me, I know how that feels when someone says "EEEW" to my personal opinions) I think it's pretty awful, even if I don't agree with the other person's ship itself. It's another thing though, when that person is trying to shove their ship on people, because they're usually the ones who end up bullying other people over personal belief.
Same here, I used to like the couple much more (And you can probably tell if you look at older comics...!) But now it just seems pretty overdone to me. Any romantic fanfics about that couple are usually pretty out of character, and not really appealing to me. xD
True, but could you imagine the sheer revolt people would have if they ever replaced Peach? xD Oh man, it would be kind of awesome and scary at the same time. Mario likes Peach, but eyes for other women he does have, heheh. I want to leave the ending so that I can make my point, but people can still connect whatever personal opinions on the character's future, because I don't like cutting off people's personal opinions unless it's something completely wrong.

Yeah, it's basically a person declaring their opinion is right, so automatically all others are wrong, and that's what really irks me. There is good art of it, but that kind of saying goes for all pairings, that there will be good art of it, even though I wouldn't agree with the pairing itself. Personally I think the only people who believe that they are gay are the ones who draw yaoi of them in the first place, because they want to feel justified. What really bothers me is moreso why people say they are, because Edgeworth wears a cravat, drinks tea, and talks fancy at times, which is a bit offensive, considering that's just reenforcing stereotypes that aren't necessarily true, because I do have some gay friends, and they aren't anything of the sort that fans imply. But I guess stereotypes come from trying to minimize thinking?
Either way, I find it hilarious that when I searched up pictures of the girl who's Edgeworth's partner in both of his games, and some fans were mad that they put Edgeworth with a girl because it was ruining their ships and were ranting that he doesn't need some chick around with him, like they were the ones in charge of the series. xD
Personally, Phoenix and his ex-girlfriend (From the third game, spoilers!) are extremely adorable, but for spoiler reasons, they can't really be together in the end. xD It's whatever the developers want and we'll take it as we please!
Personally, I just love Nick, Larry and Edgey together as the best friend trio. :3 (Gumshoe included!)

Have you played the Apollo Justice yet, how far into the AA series are you?
Opposites really do attract, my highschool boyfriend was nothing like me, I don't know how we got together, but it ended horribly.
I just don't get some shippers, I'm usually open-minded to everyone's opinion, so I expect everyone else to be. I cannot even think of a ship that has ever angered me, so it baffles me why others get nasty about it. It really is like attacking someone's religion or philosophy, it's just not cool. It's a big slap to my face when someones says my ship is gross, I can imagine how others feel when they're criticized the same way.

Yeah, a lot of M/P fics, or fanart seem ooc to me, but it could be I have my own headcanon for them, so I'm picky about how they should act. (I haven't read too many fics, I'll admit.) Peach has a cute, dainty, and ditzy side to her, but I still think, for the most part, she's very intelligent, and strong. She is a ruler, and she does live in a world where, for some reason, the women are usually much bigger than the guys. You'd think Peach would act a bit more dominant, and less submissive, in the relationship? She constantly gets kidnapped, not because she's weak, but because Bowser probably wants her kingdom, and her companionship, so of course he's going to go after her all the time. Mario's been kidnapped a few times too, doesn't make him weak. Those are just my nitpicks for the pairing, but I still do like them.

It really would be awful if Peach was completely replaced, ha ha. Nintendo would probably never make M/P canon. They're always changing their mind about things, like the koopalings relationship to Bowser.
Hehe, Mario does have eyes for other woman...and in the manga, men dressed as woman (unknowingly).
[link] [link] [link] [link] Yeah, Mario's erection...it's canon. Nintendo helps produce this manga, the humor is crude at times, so never think your comic's humor is too crude to be a Mario comic!
You're talking about how you plan on ending Seven Star Comics, right? I do wonder how you'll do it. I'm sure it'll be much more satisfying ending than the game, you always give everything so much more depth, which is great.

The worse thing is when slash fans say hetero ships are homophobic (although someone could very well say those slash fans are objectifying gays.) If their otp was genderswapped to be a straight, or yuri pairing, they'd probably hate it, which would mean, they probably don't actually love their otp as much as they think they do. Although everyone has their kinks, and their turn-offs, so whatever, I just wish fans would accept other fans for being different, and stop hating, or shoving their opinion into everyone's face.
I actually do have a gay friend that is kind of like that though, but he has a straight younger brother who looks and acts just like him. His straight, younger brother is my boyfriend, I know he's straight. So yeah, straight guys can be gay sterotypes, and not be gay at all! Edgeworth is just Edgeworth, that's his sexual orientation, ha ha. I always thought he was just really smug, he never struck me as being that flamboyant.
Yaoi shippers can get pretty nasty, to the point where they wish for the female characters to just die. I once had a some m/f fanart get attacked, one girl really sassed me, "EW I HATE THIS PAIRING." Jeez, talk about rude. I just downright hide all comments like that now, it's a new rule for my gallery, no shipping wars, I have zero tolerance for it, because I want no part in it.
They'd make a great trio! With Gumshoe, I guess that would make it a...quartet?? xD

Yeah, I've played all five PW games that are in translated in English. xD (Investigations 2 is probably the most wanted game for me right now, maybe someday it might get localized...) Apollo Justice was good, no doubt, but unfortunately after playing the first 3 AA games, you really miss seeing the old characters, as well as Nick as an attorney (But we know he's one again now!) so it is a bit of an unfair disadvantage for the game. I still do like the characters, and I'm curious as to how they'll combine the Phoenix and Apollo arc characters in AA 5... I still would recommend it if you haven't played it!
It probably angers them because they treat it like an attack on their own ship, which I can see if said person is writing or drawing stories that have some focus on the ship they like, but in general it's strange, unless that person has no life whatsoever. I've read them, and that's usually it, how Peach is made pretty stupid and Mario is made out to be the shining knight, which usually isn't a problem, except for the fact that it's Mario, the chubby happy-go-lucky italian plumber. xD To me, Peach schools Bowser and Mario, which is why Mario's the one getting only cake, and Bowser is totally dejected by her. I'm fine with the pairing, it's just when people turn it into some sort of serious romance is when I get a little irked.
If they did, it would probably have to be the last game ever made (Because I don't think anyone will be buying Mario's marital status games...!)
I still picture them as his illegitimate children, and the views up at Nintendo change pretty often, as do mine pretty frequently... Let's not forget Daisy or Pauline...!
Oh gosh, is it a bit sad I had the same face as Peach in that last page? xD I don't ever plan on showing bulges, but know that you can imagine them in certain situations when the face reads that way, because I meant it. xD I hope if I do get there, I can get the goodbyes right, because though the scene was sad, I always wanted to hear more from Geno. (Which might've been WHY it was so bittersweet) I don't care to focus on the action, rather the emotions, since we all know how the story goes anyway- No point in making suspense in what we already know!

Yeah, that does annoy me. I have no issues with homosexuality in general, but that doesn't mean I can't believe in some hetero pairings as well! I don't mind any kind of pairing done for fun, but when people believe in one sole pairing and make you feel bad for saying you didn't really see it in the game, that's when I get annoyed. So I thought Edgeworth and Phoenix seemed more like bros to me, does that mean you can say I just didn't "understand" anything about the game? We'll all believe what we'll believe, so there's no point in trying to make others believe the same.
It's funny, the Graphic Design department is pretty tight, since we all have the same classes together, so we're all friends, or at least acquaintances. Recently I finally realized the notion that one of my friends there was a lesbian (Or bi, but that's not something to casually ask someone midday. xD) when she mentioned going to visit her girlfriend for lunch, but honestly, you could NOT tell she was at all, and only when I learned that did it click with me. She basically looks like me or any girl, long hair with just some sporty clothes and a beanie, but not like that butch description most people give lesbians. Stereotypes are like shortcuts for the brain to judge someone with little thinking done, but you can only truly know a person if you're around them 24/7. It's sad when people say they support something while mocking it at the same time. :/
My brother and I act the same, awkward game nerds and smartasses all together, but he likes women and I like men, and that's where we differ. xD Basing a person's orientation off of their personality is wrong in many ways, as I've come to realize, as that paints everything black and white. All I can say is that, the gender you are attracted to is the gender that is foreign to you. If you feel men are foreign to you, then you are most likely attracted to men, and vice versa- That's what I've found.
Women can be strong and kick ass, and men can be wimpy and smarmy, it doesn't matter!
Edgeworth seems attracted to women to me, but all that trauma is pretty layered on him, and he seems pretty focused in trying to do his job, and is pretty casual with other dudes, not to mention everytime something about fashion or jewelry is mentioned in his game, he really doesn't get why women go so crazy over things like that. xD Imagine if Edgeworth were a woman, but acted exactly the same as he goes ingame. Everyone would believe "she" was a lesbian, no doubt. xD Like if I were a man, I'd be a very gay man, haha.
I've seen those comments- They are quite feisty if they don't like a pairing. That's exactly what happened when it's revealed in the third game that Phoenix had a girlfriend, and when Edgeworth gets a female partner in his game. It's like, if you believe your canon about a character is true, then what's there to worry about?
Look at me debating evidence, I could be an attorney! xD

The fourth musketeer!
